Calling aspiring Trustees

Trust logo, image onlyThe West Coast Penguin Trust is delighted to announce the search for a new Trustee and is inviting applications.  Do you have the time, enthusiasm, skills and love of the Coast and its wildlife that the Trust is seeking?

The Trust has been developing its role and projects in recent years, culminating with the achievement of two major projects in 2014, a name change to recognise a broader focus on penguins and other threatened seabirds as well as the commencement of an exciting new project with Fiordland crested penguins.  In the background, there has also been a new approach to planning and governance and the current Trustees are now keen to augment their number and introduce new skills to the Board room.

This is an opportunity to be a part of a successful conservation Trust and to make a contribution to conservation and the West Coast Community.

The successful applicant will bring skills in the areas of fundraising and/or promotion and/or governance, and a youthful outlook.  The intention now is to bring in new skills as the Trust embarks on an exciting new conservation chapter with more varied projects and more challenges.

Trustee work is voluntary but reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

If you think you’ve got what it takes and would like to help guide the Trust as it meets conservation and fundraising challenges head on, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date: 5pm, 9 February 2015
