Chatham Petrel brought back from the brink

Kerry-Jayne Wilson, one of the expedition leadersTrust Chair, Kerry-Jayne Wilson, is one of the authors of a recently published and important paper detailing 20 years of conservation of the endangered Chatham petrel.

We’re proud to report that she and her Lincoln students played key roles in saving the species from extinction and improving its status from critically endangered to endangered.

She said “Now its up to the birds themselves to increase their population further.”
