New penguin brochures inform and invite support

Giselle illustration 2 from brochure June 2016With wonderful and generous assistance from Giselle Clarkson and Jase Blair, West Coast Print, and sponsorship from DOC, we have published two new leaflets to raise awareness of our two penguins and to encourage and seek support for the Trust’s work.

After the Trust’s original focus on blue penguins in its work and its leaflets, the new penguin brochure includes both of our West Coast penguins, the blue penguin/korora, and the Fiordland crested penguin/tawaki.  It includes quick facts about both penguins, answers the question ‘can I see a penguin on the west coast? and provides other helpful information.

Giselle, a freelance illustrator based in Wellington, has kindly created more delightful illustrations for the new penguin brochure, and we’re hugely grateful.  Giselle illustration from brochure June 2016

In addition, Jase Blair at West Coast Print / Katabatic Creative, put in loads of time to make sure our new brochures look stunning.

We have shared the new brochures with visitor centres in the region and we’re keen to get them out to West Coasters and visitors alike.  If you would like to have some for yourself, your guests, clients or visitors, please get in touch: and we’ll pop some in the post.

In the meantime, here are the new brochures as pdfs, produced with Biodiversity Funding from DOC:
